What is a men's hair system?+
A hair system is a non-surgical, custom-made piece that covers thinning or balding areas with 100% human hair attached to a thin base. It's bonded to your scalp with adhesive (or clipped in) and blends seamlessly with your existing hair. FORGEN systems are designed to look and feel completely natural.
How is a hair system attached?+
Most systems use a medical-grade adhesive — either liquid glue or double-sided tape — applied to the base and pressed onto clean, dry skin. Some systems (like our clip-in The Weekender) use snap clips instead and need no adhesive at all. We include an application guide with every order, and our support team can walk you through it.
Will people be able to tell I'm wearing one?+
No. Our systems are built around undetectable hairlines — ultra-thin skin bases, hand-tied French lace, and pre-plucked baby hairs. At arm's length, the hairline is invisible. Most customers tell us friends, family, and even their barbers have no idea they wear a system.
Can I swim, sweat, and exercise with a hair system?+
Yes. FORGEN systems are built for active lives. Our water-resistant adhesives hold through swimming, running, and heavy training. We recommend The Athlete for high-sweat lifestyles, and always suggest carrying a small touch-up kit for extended wear.
How long does a hair system last?+
With proper care, most FORGEN systems last 6–12 months of regular wear. Lifespan depends on base type, hair quality, and how well you maintain it. Rotating between two systems and following our care guide will significantly extend the life of each one.
How often do I need to reattach and maintain it?+
Most men re-attach every 1–4 weeks, depending on how fast their adhesive breaks down and their skin's natural oils. Between re-attachments, you'll clean the base, refresh the hair, and re-apply adhesive. We offer step-by-step care guides and free support for first-time users.
Is the hair 100% human hair?+
Yes. Every FORGEN system uses 100% ethically sourced human hair — primarily European Remy hair. We never use synthetic blends, and the cuticle is aligned in one direction for a natural, tangle-free look.
How do I choose the right color and density?+
Our product pages show natural color swatches matched to common hair shades. If you're between shades, we recommend matching the hair at your temples, not the back. Density is how thick the hair is — we default to a natural 100% density so it blends with existing hair. For bespoke matching, our Custom System service gets you an exact match.
What's your shipping policy?+
We offer free worldwide shipping on all orders. Processing takes 1-3 business days. Delivery typically takes 7-14 business days depending on your location. Express shipping (3-5 days) is available at checkout. All packages ship in plain, discreet packaging.
What's your return policy?+
We offer a 30-day return policy. The system must be unworn, unaltered, and with all original packaging and tags intact. Once your return is received and inspected, we'll issue a full refund to your original payment method within 5-7 business days.
